Silver in Portland

Dafne Schippers picked up a silver medal in the 60 metres of the World Indoor Championships, losing by 0.02 of a second to Barbara Pierre of the US.

Dafne, who always sets her goals high, wasn’t completely satisfied with her performance during the final: “Perhaps I should be happy with winning the silver medal, but at this moment I’m just sad about it, because I know I could have done better.” However, there were also some good things to look back at: “My top speed is really high right now which is great of course, it gives me confidence for the upcoming period. I wasn’t happy with my start, in neither of the three races, although it was already a bit better in the final.”
