Top Dutch athlete Dafne Schippers (27), with 17 international medals to her name, has chosen Technogym as her official supplier in preparation for the Olympic Games in Tokyo this year. Technogym ‘The Wellness Company’ offers specific support to top athletes.
Both parties are very pleased with the collaboration that became official this month. Technogym has turned out to be the exclusive performance brand for Schippers. The training solutions offered by Technogym contribute to getting the best out of the athlete.
Performance and Dafne
‘The conviction of Technogym that approaches exercise as a daily component of a healthy lifestyle applies to me, too’, emphasises Schippers. In preparation for the Olympic Games in Tokyo, Schippers uses Technogyms newest performance line ‘Skill Line’. “Every day I try to get better and it’s superb that Technogym is supporting me with fitness equipment on my way to the Olympics. It is important for me to work with the best equipment to ensure that I’m fully prepared. Technogym is great, which shows in everything they do. I regularly use Skillrun and Skillbike for my short training sessions and when my coach instructs me to train at home”.
Technogym proud
Jasper Bron, Managing Director of Technogym Benelux: “We are very proud that Dafne has chosen Technogyms Skill Line. Dafne is an indisputable top athlete who only wants the best. Skill Line and Technogym fit perfectly with her winning mentality. Technogym is an authority in performance training and has an excellent reputation of supporting Olympic athletes. Skill Line has been developed for and with top Olympic athletes”.

Toyota and European and twice World Champion Dafne Schippers have announced their collaboration on the road to the Tokyo Olympic Games in 2020. Toyota is the first car marque ever to be a worldwide Olympic and Paralympic Games partner.
The official partnership is based on Toyota’s deeply held conviction that everyone should be able to move freely, in order to make the best of their opportunities. This drive towards always finding a better way matches perfectly with sprinter Dafne Schippers.
Every day a little bit better
In Dafne Schippers’ own words, “I am delighted with the collaboration with Toyota. Toyota as a brand sets high standards for everything it does and is constantly searching for opportunities for improvement. The same goes for me. As an elite sportswoman, I work hard every day to become a little bit better.”
Lowest emission levels ever
As worldwide mobility partner for the Olympic and Paralympic Games, Toyota aims to achieve the lowest emission values ever for the official vehicle fleet of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, with the aim of reducing the burden from the Games on the environment. With that in mind, during Tokyo 2020, Toyota will be operating as many emission-free vehicles as possible. This includes a whole range of fully electric vehicles (Battery Electric Vehicles) such as the e-Palette and hydrogen-powered vehicles (Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles) such as the Toyota Mirai and the Sora hydrogen Bus.
New generation Hybrid: energy efficient and powerful
As Toyota ambassador, Dafne will be driving the Toyota RAV4 Hybrid. This fourth generation hybrid driveline operates up to 50 percent of journey time in full electric mode. Dafne Schippers commented, “Toyota is willing to go against the flow when it comes to sustainability and innovation. The drive and perseverance of the brand appeal to me personally. I recognise them in myself as a sprinter. At times in my career I have faced setbacks and opposition, but I have always persevered, and always kept a clear focus on my eventual goal. And with success.”
‘Start Your Impossible’
The collaboration between Toyota and the now 27 year-old elite athlete is part of ‘Start Your Impossible’, Toyota’s worldwide campaign based on partnership with the Games. The focus is on the person behind the athlete. We often only see the result of all the efforts they have put in, but the inspiring, unbounded dedication to constantly improve that leads to success often features less prominently. It is, however, precisely that passion and the drive to improve that matches the way in which throughout its history Toyota has strived to make the impossible possible.
